Our design approach differs from that of a traditional engineering firm - on every project; we seek to exceed standards for indoor air quality, environmental controls and user comfort while exceeding energy efficiency of traditional design approaches.

We have LEED accredited professionals on staff to provide innovation in the design process for considerations in conserving energy and the environment.

McSweeney Engineering will assist an owner in the review of a facility in order to determine if it is feasible for the owners needs.

We then assist the owner in developing a conceptual design for how the facility can be upgraded to meet all of the owners requirements.

Basis of Design documents then are written as a description of the facility along with a list of design and equipment requirements for the upgrades.  These requirements and upgrades are developed in conjunction with the owner.

The concept and Basis of Design are then used to develop the construction documents.  The construction documents include drawings and specifications.  These drawings are used to obtain permits from the building departments and they are used to obtain pricing from contractors and finally as the basis of the construction activities.
